Our School

Brewer Middle School is a collaborative, public middle school in White Settlement ISD. The campus serves and educates approximately 1,600 students in grades 6 through 8. Brewer Middle offers a diversity of learning programs, all centered around student success and achievement as evidenced by the many honors the school has received throughout the years. 

We are committed to delivering a rigorous and advanced academic program. We offer honors, curriculum that aligns with the College Board in all core-subjects as well as Algebra, a high school credit math course. A variety of high school credit elective courses are offered that support the Brewer High School Distinguished Graduation Plan.

In addition to a rigorous and challenging curriculum, Brewer Middle School offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities including an award-winning fine arts program that includes band, dance and theater. Competitive athletic programs such as football, soccer, volleyball, tennis, track and basketball as well as numerous service organizations and a variety of clubs are available to students. 

Sixth Grade
Sixth graders have six classes and a homeroom period daily. At the beginning of the year, all students will participate in a Pre-Athletic/PE period. Students interested in athletics will transition to an Athletic period, where training will include Strength and Conditioning, Weights, Cardio, etc. to prepare them for competitive sports.

Students not enrolled in band participate in 12-week Explore rotations and get a glimpse into potential course selections for their future years in school: 

  • Introduction to CTE - 12 Weeks
    Students are introduced to a variety of CTE pathways including Business and Industry, Public Service (i.e. Law Enforcement and Legal Studies) and STEM. 
  • Visual Arts - 12 Weeks 
    Students build upon their artistic skills while exploring different mediums.  
  • Intro to Fine Arts - 12 Weeks 
    Students explore Music, Choir and Theatre.
